Anna-Clare Lukoma is a Ugandan Designer with international influences ranging from Tokyo Japan to Gaborone Botswana. The designer learned her trade at the Yokohama Fashion Design College in Japan and the Tiner International School of Fashion and Beauty in Uganda.
In 2004 Anna-Clare established the NihonAfriq brand as a fashion collective that expressed her African and Japanese influences. The collective endeavored to work with local craftsmen and artisans. After 8 years living and working in Japan, Anna-Clare returned to Uganda to create the Lulu♥ brand in 2011. Lulu did a collaboration with Studio One Eighty Nine for the Fashion Rising Collection.
